Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 2026
Yomii Reader ("the app") is built with privacy as a default. This page explains what data the app does and does not collect.
Data we collect
Yomii Reader does not collect personal information. The app does not require an account, does not ask for your name or email, and does not include third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
Data stored on your device
The app stores your reading progress, saved vocabulary, and spaced-repetition flashcard state locally on your device. This data never leaves your phone unless you explicitly back it up through iCloud or device backups, which are managed by Apple and governed by Apple's privacy policy.
Purchases
Premium subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Yomii Reader does not receive your payment information. Subscription status is verified through Apple's StoreKit framework and a transaction identifier stored locally.
Crash and diagnostic data
If you have opted in to share diagnostics with developers in your iOS settings, Apple may share anonymous crash reports with us. These reports do not contain personal information.
Children's privacy
Yomii Reader is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes meaningfully, the updated version will be posted here with a new "last updated" date.
